Ottolenghi Saturday.
Quinoa, Fennel and Pomegranate Salad recipe
Wasn't completely happy with the flavor of this one so improvised (shock horror) and added some pomegranate molasses to the dressing. Wasn't bad, but would probably be better with the addition of some shredded chicken. Colours looked good though.
Sweet and spicy beef and pork pie recipe
This was pretty delicious and looked a treat too. The only bit i couldn't quite nail was getting the egg to cook. It took about 15 minutes as opposed to the recommended 5, which gave the shortcrust pastry a bit of sunburn.

San Francisco garlic fries and beef burger.
Fries recipe here. Burger patty was just beef, egg, mustard, breadcrumbs, onion and Aleppo pepper, sandwiched between tasty cheese, tomato relish, mustard, mashed avocado, sauteed onions, tomatoes, pickles, tomato sauce and a soft white bun. Scrumptious.

Haigh's Decadnent Tyramisu.
The richest dessert i've ever made, Absolutely delicious. Not particularly cheap to make if you use all of the suggested Haigh's ingredients but well worth the calories.

Which bum is Ben's?
An awesome hens do game i made up. Basically, we hold up 5 bums/eyes, toes, testicles etc and the hen has to pick which one belongs to her man. Hysterical.

Caramel parfait with candied popcorn. Oh my.
Needs some work perfecting the look, but the taste is pretty awesome. Very intense caramel ice-cream. First time i've made pop-corn on the stove since i was little. I'd forgotten how delicious it can be drenched in salt! Recipe here.
